Cambry Kaylor- Cambry is the head coach of Technique and has vaulted since 1995. With Redwing Vaulters in Washington, she was a national champion in both the 2-Phase and C-Team events. She earned her silver canter medal in California with Tambourine Vaulters and was a flyer on their A-Team. Later, Cambry moved to Utah where she joined the Oak Hills Vaulters' A-Team, coached by Kristi Fleming. After sustaining a spinal cord injury in 2005, Cambry returned to vaulting as a coach. Over the past two years, she has taken her vaulters to two national championships, bringing home two individual national champions, two individual reserve national champions and a team national championship. Cambry has been invited to clinic teams across the nation and in Canada. She also sits on the general board of the American Vaulting Association. Credentials aside, Cambry is a positive role model for all those she coaches!
Jodie Howard - Jodie has worn many hats at Technique. She has assisted as a coach, longeur, and horse trainer. She began vaulting in 1990 and vaulted with five clubs in California. At age 15, Jodie became the Women's Silver National Champion. She performed with the vaulting demo team at the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta. She has vaulted in Holland, Italy and Austria, where she placed in the top 20, a rare accomplishment for a U.S. competitor. Jodie coached for four years at Pacific Coast Vaulters and has trained several horses now competing in the AVA. Jodie is currently away, attending William Woods College in Missouri. She is perusing a degree in Equine Science. We look forward to her return this summer!
Kim Kaylor - When she is not teaching 6th grade, Kim acts as longeur, trainer, dance coach and team mom.  Kim grew up around horses, but was not introduced to vaulting until she was a mother with girls who wanted to vault.  Kim was a dancer and taught ballet for many years in Los Angeles and Seattle.  She worked as the dance coach for a competitive gymnastics program and also coached lower levels of gymnastics.  Kim loves this opportunity Technique offers to work with great kids and fabulous horses. What a super combination!
Makenna Kaylor Pratt - Makenna is Technique's gymnastics coach. She began gymnastics at age 3. At age 12, Makenna started vaulting, quickly earning her bronze medal and was part of a 2-phase national championship team. She was also a competitive optional level gymnast. Makenna gave up vaulting to focus on gymnastics, but returned to the sport as a silver vaulter when her sister began coaching. She was a member of the national championship B-team in 2007. Makenna currently works full-time at All American Gymnastics Center in Lindon, where she coaches competitive gymnasts and works with our canter vaulters. Makenna has attended several national gymnastics conventions allowing her to provide Technique with state-of-the art conditioning, flexibility, and skill based training. There's no doubt Makenna loves coaching!
