WELCOME TO TECHNIQUE EQUESTRIAN VAULTING CLUB!
In October of 2007, Technique Equestrian Vaulting Club was formed. As one
of only two vaulting clubs in Utah, Technique is helping introduce horse enthusiasts across the state to the wonderful and ancient
sport of vaulting. Currently, Technique operates in Provo, Utah at Sunspring Ranch, and in Lehi, Utah at Silver Springs Stables. We have over 40 vaulters ranging in ages from five to forty-five, and six horses. We provide classes
at walk, trot, and canter levels, as well as put on demonstrations and compete across the Western United States.
WHAT IS VAULTING?
Vaulting
is a competitive equestrian sport governed by the American Vaulting Association. It is recognized by the United States Equestrian
Federation and is one of only eight disciplines represented at the World Equestrian Games. It combines dance, gymnastics, and
riding into an equestrian performance sport. Vaulting dates back to the days of Ancient Rome, where it was used to train Roman cavalrymen
to stay on their horses during battle. Today it is a worldwide competitive sport and an important part of most European riding
schools. Vaulting came to the U.S. in the 1960's, and now there are over 100 clubs across the nation.
